TIMOTHY A. FORSHEY

Tim is a seasoned family law, personal injury, criminal defense (with an emphasis on self-defense), estate planning and firearms law attorney, dedicated to zealously protecting and advocating the rights of his clients through all ethical and professional means. Tim provides a uniquely personal touch, offering counsel and comfort to his clients so they can focus on their lives while he manages their legal needs. He is renowned for his ability to politely and thoughtfully explain to his clients the thing they need to hear, not necessarily the thing they want to hear.
Tim has a Bachelor of Arts in biology, a Master of Science in forensic biology, and, of course, a Juris Doctorate degree. He played four years of college football as a defensive lineman and “defense“ has remained important to him throughout his life. He prosecuted cases in central Illinois for two years before he relocated to the great state of Arizona. He founded his own firm in Phoenix in 1995 and despite humble beginnings has managed to successfully continue that practice now for nearly 30 years. He was a pro tem Judge in Arizona and presided over approximately two dozen jury trials in that capacity.

With over 30 years of experience in family law, personal injury, criminal defense, estate planning and firearms law, Tim is a member in good standing of the State Bars of Arizona, Colorado and Illinois and a member of numerous other professional organizations. He has been featured in several prominent magazines, including Time, Money, Phoenix, Guns and Guns and Weapons for Law Enforcement. In addition to representing clients as an attorney in innumerable self-defense cases, he has also served as an expert witness on self-defense on numerous occasions. A tireless advocate for the rights of those being bullied by other individuals or organizations/governments, Tim lives to stand up for "the little guy.” He is also an extremely seasoned shooter, currently serving as the Training Director for the Phoenix Company of the Arizona Rangers. Tim has been a multiple discipline National Rifle Association-certified instructor since 1996 and has served as the lead concealed carry instructor at the elite Scottsdale Gun Club since it opened in 2002. An active hunter and competitive shooter in many disciplines, he is certified by the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) as an A class shooter, the International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) as an Expert class shooter and by the Glock Sport Shooting Federation (GSSF) as a Master class shooter. He has won numerous state and national shooting competitions in his class. Tim has been married for nearly 30 years to his beautiful (and patient) wife Shannon, a Phoenix Pediatrician. Tim and Shannon have triplet daughters (which leads to the obviously pre-ordained sobriquet “Tim and the Four Shes”) who recently graduated college with honors.
